Your session can be in your own home, in my studio or in a location of your choice. Some people prefer to have the photographs taken in their own home. This can be perfect for setting the scene and can result in engaging portraits in your own environment. For example i have photographed muscians surrounded by their instruments, horse riders in the tack room and practice ring, as well as families in formal and relaxed shots. In fact for large groups, such as big family gatherings and where you really need to rely on the shot being perfect , photography at home and in the garden is an ideal setting. The studio is fantastic for smaller groups and for models where control of lighting is essential. I can also bring a small lighting rig to your house should you wish. This can be helpful for babies and small children so as not to disrupt their routine too much. Older children are usually fine in the studio and we have fun with silly poses and faces, which helps to, afterwards, also get "nice" shots for parents and grand parents!

As studio space can be quite limiting for children with bundles of energy location shoots and a fantastic way to get the whole family photographed in a more relaxed style. There are plenty of locations in the south west of England which I can suggest, dependent on the style you want to achieve, or if there is anyway special to you just let me know and I'm there!
